21 Day Happiness Challenge VOE Episode 17

Have you in the past or currently feel like you’re caught in a negative run that never seems to end? Do you feel at times that no matter how hard you try – it seems that happiness is unobtainable? Have you asked yourself too many times “Is there more to my life than this?” And here’s my last question to you – Do you want to achieve more passion/happiness in your life? On this week’s show, my goals is to provide you with bible guidance and practical advice to help you obtain happiness in your life by developing positive habits.

There are many avenues one can take to gain Happiness in their life – I’m going to

share with you today the 21-Day Happiness Challenge program. I am excited to share

this journey with you (because I am taking this journey myself). And here is the CALL

TO ACTION to you: Commit to complete the Happiness Challenge! Do this for

YOURSELF because you deserve it, to live your best life from a happier healthier

perspective! Plus, the happier you are, your cup will overflow with blessings that will

surely influence and impact those around you.

I’m a woman of faith so I’ll start from the Faith perspective; delving into God’s Word for

encouragement and wisdom. I look to scripture for guidance in how to increase my

faith, to make it bigger than my fears and strengthen my confidence.

Scripture tells us that:

“We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have

been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28

We should always remember that God’s power and strength will never diminish. He is

never too tired or too busy to listen and help us. His power is our source of confidence.

So, when you experience set-backs, and you can’t take another step, and your plans

aren’t working out - just remember this… you can call on God and He will renew your

strength and give you fresh faith. Allow your confidence in God to lead you to trust Him

and trust yourself

The dictionary defines Happiness as: “the state of being happy”, “a state of well-being

and contentment”.

Other words that are closely related to happiness: pleasure, satisfaction, cheerfulness,

glee, delight, good spirits, lightheartedness, enjoyment.

So, how do we experience the definition of happiness? It starts with our minds. Each

and every day we use our mind to make decisions, respond to what happens around us,

and to determine our state of mind. However, some of us have not taken the time to

understand its nature and function (how our emotional state is tied to what we are

thinking) what you think about you bring about. Did you know that both happiness and

suffering are merely states of mind? Therefore, to truly be free from suffering and enjoy

happiness in every moment, it is imperative that we possess a thorough and profound

understanding of the mind and how to maintain control over our thoughts. This is the

best, most reliable way by which we can greatly improve our quality of life both now and

in the future.

We all know that life doesn’t always go the way we want it to. Sometimes we feel

overwhelmed with challenges and difficulties. Out of habit, our normal reaction to these

events is to regard the situation itself as the problem. In reality, however, all of our

problems arise from our own mind. When you’ve got a positive attitude of optimism,

expectancy and enthusiasm – your problem is not as bad as you originally thought.

This reminds me of what evangelist Dr. Myles Monroe stated in one of his sermons:

“The word “problem” is simply an opportunity to grow

Taking control of your happiness requires vigilance, dedication, and commitment. It is

your responsibility to manifest your dreams and goals to come to fruition. It’s up to you

to cultivate that dream that God placed in your heart, and you really can’t do that if

you’re not in a positive state of mind.

Are you ready to see if you are in tune with your soul’s happiness? Are you ready to

know more? Are you ready to pursue the steps to stay aligned with your heart? Said

differently, are you ready to take the 21day Happiness Challenge?

Before we get started, put me on pause and grab a piece of paper and a pen; you may

want to write these down for further reflection:

1. Do you give yourself permission to be happy?

2. Your attitude is a product of your belief, so your attitude comes from your

belief system. Are you willing to let go – modify where necessary your current

belief system in order to cultivate a happier state of mind?

3. Do you give yourself time to reflect on all the good in your life?

4. Do you want to live a more fulfilled life?

These thought-provoking questions are designed to help you think about the core of

your happiness.

Before we get started on the this challenge I am going to warn you it will require you to

be disciplined and focus.

Before I walk you through the 21 day happiness challenge steps… I want to share my

favorite quote from Mark Twain that gets me motivated:

“The secret to getting ahead is getting started”.

So, let’s get started!

But before I do, let me share my personal affirmation with you – saying it out loud to
